Environmental impacts

Environemental impactsBiomass fuel used by cookstoves is often not harvested in a sustainable way. Burning those fuels contribute to increasing greenhouse gas concentration into the atmosphere and to reducing local forest cover.

We can measure:

  • fuel consumption
  • climate forcing gas emissions
  • biomass renewability rates

Our strong background in results based finance enables us deliver studies that are compliant with the Clean Development Mechanism (AMS IIG methodology) or the Gold Standard Foundations (TPDDTEC methodology) requirements. We have extensive experience carrying out standardized tests like the Kitchen Performance Test, Controlled Cooking Test or even Water Boiling Test in the field.
